Peddling Samples

A young man wearing a long linen duster and a cap called at a number of St. Johns homes Tuesday leaving samples of some sweeping preparations with the compliments of W.R. Osgood, the furniture man. The different housekeepers accepted the sample gratefully without recognizing the young man as the furniture dealer himself.

During the night he had renewed his youth and decided to have some fun out of his changed appearance. With his smooth shaven face and linen straight jacket his nearest neighbors did not know him.
